How I got here
I’m a graphic designer turned project manager turned DIY bride turned Mama.
Over the past 12 years I have been lucky enough to help plan a ton of really cool projects and events.

I love to create things. I used to hand draw the store hours or the sale announcements at the small hippie store I used to work at. I would sit on my living room floor clipping out pictures from Seventeen and YM magazines to put together collages of things I found cool. I took all these passions as a sign and decided to pursue a degree in graphic design.

I love organizing things. I always have, just ask my Mom about my Montessori days. Mapping out a process to get things done weirdly brings me a sense of satisfaction. Combined with my graphic design background project management was a natural fit. I get to be a problem solving, note taking, planner who figures out how to bring ideas to life. All while getting to experience the biggest sense of pride in seeing a client express joy because expectations have been knocked out of the park. That’s pretty cool.

I knew I wanted to get married in the beautiful mountains of southwest PA where my husband grew up. There were only a handful of venues to pick from but one stood out from the rest. There was only one catch, that’s all it was, a gorgeous place to have our wedding, it came with nothing else. Everything was up to me, literally everything. Bathrooms, chairs, decorations, signs, you name it. I had to figure out how to bring my ideas to life and I loved it every single step of the way.
Our wedding turned out to be the perfect reflection of who we are as a couple. And it showed in every detail and decision made. I couldn't be more proud.

I have been at home with my two kids (who are 1 and 3) and it has rocked my world. One of the most important things I learned from becoming a Mom is how to come up with creative solutions. Rather than taking the approach of we can’t do something because it’s too hard, instead thinking about how we can do it. Knowing that it might look a little different but understanding that we are still achieving what we set out to do. This way of thinking directly applies to my management approach. It’s not about what we can’t do but what we can do to still work towards the outcome we want.
